ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY


When we want to express the frequency in which we do some activities or something happens we use adverbs of frequency.

The adverbs of frequency are:

Always-------100%

Usually--------90%

Often----------60%

Sometimes----40%

Seldom/rarely-10%

Never----------  0%


The position of adverbs of frequency is normally before the main verb of a sentence:

E.G.:

Gonzalo Ernesto always goes out with Fabrizio

Gonzalo Ernesto usually goes out with Fabrizio.


Gonzalo Ernesto often goes out with Fabrizio.


(Sometimes) Gonzalo Ernesto sometimes goes out with Fabrizio.

Gonzalo Ernesto seldom goes out with Fabrizio.


Gonzalo Ernesto rarely goes out with Fabrizio.


Gonzalo Ernesto never  goes out with Fabrizio.


But sometimes has two positions. It can come before the subject of the sentences or in the normal position before the main verb.
